PFLAG was founded to help parents, families and friends of LGBT persons to support each other and their loved ones. That’s still our core mission today. Talking with a person who has experienced what you are going through can help immeasurably. We urge you to call our Help Lines, or better yet, come to a meeting. Climbing the stairs to the meeting room was the hardest thing many of us have ever done and the best. Those were the first steps to healing. To get you started on your journey, we’ve listed some resources. 

Some people who come to PFLAG have special situations. They may have just learned that their spouse is gay or they may be dealing with transgender issues. Some of the links provided deal with issues specific to these circumstances.
