We’re Added a New Support Group in Silverlake!
PFLAG Los Angeles @ Silverlake Monthly Support Group
Meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 7:00 p.m)
PFLAG Los Angeles had added a second support group in a new location. On the second Thursday of every month gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered persons and their families and friends will have a safe, welcoming place to talk.
Whether your are LGBTQ or the parent of a child of any age dealing with issues of sexual orientation and gender identity, you will have the opportunity to talk about your experiences, ask questions, and get information. The group is run by trained facilitators Dawn, mother of a transgendered child, and Versil, a gay man and educator, with the support of parents and chapter leaders from PFLAG Los Angeles who have gay children.
Participants’ identities are completely confidential and you are invited to come and listen if you don’t feel ready to talk.
Meetings are held at:
The Metropolitan Community Church
4953 Franklin Avenue, Los Angeles 90027
7:30 - 9:00 pm
(North of Hollywood Blvd. between Vermont and Normandy Avenue.
Signs will be posted at the church indicating the room location).
Parking is available on the surrounding streets, arrive early to find a good space!
