Challenges – the key to change
Coming out is a complicated process full of complicated emotions for all involved. Too bad there are no instructions! But there are tools that make navigating it with more love and compassion possible. Laura Cazares teaches techniques to support you in navigating not just the coming out process, but all of life’s challenges. You’ll learn how to transform challenges into your true power!
Laura knows a lot about change and growth. A certified life coach since 1986, she has been speaking, teaching, coaching, and working with professionals and entrepreneurs. She holds BS and MS degrees in Chemistry and is a graduate of Coach U. She is a certified Life Mastery Consultant and DreamBuilder Coach. She has been a high school teacher, water quality project manager, entertainment IT project manager, and marketing/proposal director.
Her wide-ranging experience has expanded her vision of what is possible. She will help us expand our own views, and find the possibilities in the problem.

More Time for Support
The PFLAG organization began with parents and LGBTQ people talking together about their experiences in a safe, supportive confidential group. Forty + years later, support groups are still at the heart of what we do.
That’s why, two or three times a year, we devote the whole meeting to support. The extra time allows us to go more deeply into situations, issues, and feelings that are challenging. This meeting is one of those sessions.
We hope you’ll all come with your trials and your successes, your fears and your victories, your hopes and dreads. When it comes to issues of sexual orientation and gender identity, we’re all works in progress, growing through tolerance to acceptance to celebration one step at a time. Your story will enrich our groups and help all of us to grow.
